  They had what I needed but the staff wasn’t very helpful. If you want to walk into the store, find what you need, buy it, and leave, this is a great place to go. If you need help finding something, you may want to look somewhere else.

  I just discovered an hour before Dick's closed that I needed hiking poles for my next expedition tomorrow. I purchased them online but didn't see the part about the two hours wait and the confirmation email. I explained my situation to the associate. He had every right to turn me away and make me come back the next day, but he didn't. He never said it couldn't be done. He said, let me see what I can do for you. He had the worker from the ski department bring the poles, and got his supervisor involved right away. She assured me everything would be fine, checked my ID and the online order, and called the store manager to process the form they needed to process. All the while they were helping other customers and cleaning up the store for closing. I got my goods and smiles from everyone, despite the late hour. Wow. Amazing customer service. I would recommend you do all your outdoor shopping at Dick's!

  I came here to buy shoes and custom insoles. The woman in the shoe department was super friendly and helpful. The store was clean and well stocked. The checkout line was short. I had a really great experience. I don't shop here often but it seemed like they had just about anything you could be looking for. Fort Union is a great location with lots of parking and plenty of other stores and restaurants to visit while you're there.
